Return & Refund Policy

90-Day Free Returns

At Troy's Readers, we want you to shop with confidence.

We currently offer free returns on eligible items for up to 90 days after delivery. This promotion applies to qualifying purchases and remains in effect until modified or discontinued.

Customers may request a full refund, replacement, or exchange for eligible items returned within 90 days of delivery does not include the original cost of shipping.

To qualify, returns must be initiated within 90 days of delivery and postmarked within the applicable return period.

Some products may have a longer return window as stated on the individual product page.

Troy's Readers Warranty

All products sold by Troy's Readers include a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects.

If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect within 90 days of purchase, you may be eligible for a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

Customers must notify us of warranty issues within the 90-day warranty period.

As a courtesy, we generally provide a two-week grace period beyond the warranty period when appropriate.

Warranty periods may occasionally be extended at our discretion.


Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping is free when:

  • The order qualified for free returns

  • The item arrived damaged

  • The item arrived defective

  • The wrong item was shipped

  • Items are covered under warranty

  • The customer qualifies for our Economic Hardship Program

For returns that do not qualify for free return shipping, return postage may be deducted from the refund amount.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law.


Economic Hardship Program

We offer free return shipping assistance for qualifying customers experiencing economic hardship.

To qualify, please provide proof of current participation in one of the following programs:

  • WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)

  • TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

  • TTANF (Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

  • SSI (Supplemental Security Income)

  • NSLP (National School Lunch Program)

  • Medicaid

  • LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program)

The name on the documentation must match the name on the order.


Condition of Returned Items

All returned items are inspected upon receipt.

If a different item is returned than what was originally shipped, no refund will be issued. The customer may choose to pay shipping costs to have the item returned.

Items returned in heavily used condition, damaged by misuse, missing original packaging, or otherwise returned in a condition substantially different from that received may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Special order items

  • Personalized or custom products

  • Final sale items

  • Products marked as non-refundable on the product page

  • Hazardous materials

  • Flammable liquids or gases

  • Certain personal care products where applicable

Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may also be covered by a manufacturer's warranty.

Any warranty provided by a manufacturer is solely between the customer and the manufacturer. Troy's Readers is not responsible for administering manufacturer warranties unless otherwise stated.


Damaged, Defective, Missing, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon arrival.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, contact us immediately at:

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos when applicable

We will work with you to provide a replacement, refund, or other appropriate resolution.

Please include your order number or packing slip with all returns.


Exchanges

The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to place a new order and return the original item for a refund.

Customers may also choose to purchase the replacement item while waiting for their return to be processed.


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

For orders shipped to countries within the European Union, customers have the right to cancel or return their order within 14 days of receipt without providing a reason.

Returned merchandise must be:

  • Unused

  • In original condition

  • In original packaging

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

This right is provided in accordance with applicable European consumer protection laws.


Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval status.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that your bank, credit card issuer, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
